1.Material Selection:

2.Machining the Mold:

4.EDM Operations:

Continuously monitor the EDM process to maintain accuracy and prevent tool wear.



5.Heat Treatment:

Heat-treat the mold components to achieve the desired hardness and metallurgical properties.

6.Surface Finishing:

Polish and texture the mold surfaces as required by the customer's specifications.

Achieve the desired surface finish using techniques like diamond polishing or bead blasting.

Surface finish impacts the final appearance and quality of the molded parts.



7.Assemble the Mold:

Carefully assemble all mold components, including the mold base, core, cavity, runner system, and cooling channels.

Ensure that all components fit together precisely and securely.

Use fasteners like bolts and screws to hold the mold components in place.



8.Trial Runs:

Conduct trial runs with the mold to verify its functionality and performance.

Use a small batch of test shots to assess factors like part quality, cycle time, and mold longevity.

Make any necessary adjustments or modifications to the mold design or setup based on trial run results.



9.Production Setup:

Once the mold is approved after trial runs, set it up in the injection molding machine.
